Hey there, foodies, eaters and casual browsers of the interwebs! I know, it’s been a long time. Too long, really, in internet time. I’ve been away, on hiatus, caring for out baby son. He is amazing, more incredible than I could have ever expected. And I have had the pleasure of getting to spend almost every day with him for the last 8 months.
However, this has kept me away from the Tiny Kitchen and you, my faithful and loving readers, if you are still among us. So this is me checking in with you, to let you know I am still here, still eating, and for the most part, still cooking. Albeit the better part of what comes out of my kitchen now is a puree of fruits and vegetables, but never mind that.
I have been cooking, I really have, and enjoying some amazing quality time at home with the little Monster. As much as I love spending time in the Blogosphere, once you have a little guy scooting around and discovering the world around him, everything else seems, well, less important.
But I assure you I am still here, fighting the good fight in the Tiny Kitchen, pureeing steamed vegetables and even sometimes making food for the adults in the family. But words cannot be kept at bay forever, and eventually I will have to open the gates and start writing again, whether it be about food, fatherhood, or a subtle emulsification of the two.
