Hello, good friends and faithful readers. It’s been a while. Too long, really. I’ve been away, and I fear I may have lost some of you to the cobwebs. Obviously, I have neglected my blogging duties for a few months, and I hope you can forgive me. While I have not been writing, I have certainly been eating, although often I find myself taking shortcuts in the kitchen or leaning towards the quick and easy meal.
But these lapses in culinary judgment have not come without reason; I have not simply just given up on my love of delicious, real food and turned in my foodie badge. No friends, the reason for my absence has less to do with me than with changes to our family. We have, just about a month ago, welcomed a new eater into our lives, and he has stolen our hearts (and yes, most of our waking hours.) It is my great pleasure to introduce to you our baby boy, Mr. M:
Needless to say, we are smitten. While we take the time to get to know him better, the blog will probably remain on hold, at least for the time being. The Tiny Kitchen took a back seat in the months leading up to us welcoming him into the world as we prepared for his arrival, and now as we do our best to keep this tiny little person alive and happy. I do hope, in the meantime, to share a few short posts on his growth. Eventually, as he starts to eat solid food, I’ll share our trials and tribulations with that.
As it stands now, I am enjoying being a new daddy, and eagerly await whatever comes next. The best thing I can hope for is that this little guy grows up to be the adventurous eater his father has taken years to become.
